This past Friday, Park Police were in force at the National Sculpture Garden, checking every bag that came in for outside booze. Now I have been going to the Jazz in the Park for the past four years and the first couple years it wasn't crowded and you could bring in whatever, but lately it has been invaded by yuppies in groups, there was no place to sit or stand it was that crowded, the lines for the bar was just wrong! So when I go down there, I take my picnic out on the Mall, because you can still hear the music from the park, but you won't have the crowd.
So be fore warned before you head out this Friday to Jazz in the Park.
