Will Eastman’s forward-thinking dance party, Bliss, is back with special guests Christoph Andersson and Mr. Bonkerz (Groovz/Shenaniganz, DC)!
WILL EASTMAN’s latest funky disco house single, “No Sleep”, co-produced with Micah Vellian, has gained ample momentum since its official release on April 8th; appearing in DJ sets from Plump DJs, Bad Boy Bill, Tony Humphries, His Majesty Andre, Punks Jump Up, and on top music blogs URB, RCRD LBL and Gotta Dance Dirty. The single complete with a dub version and remixes from Treasure Fingers, Lazaro Casanova and Bird Peterson, has received praise from top producers/label heads Sinden, Scottie B., Ursula 1000, Xinobi and Autoerotique.
Writing for Tilllate Magazine, Jerry Bouthier of Kitsuné says, "Without a warning (Plant) drops this spring's single to fall in love to... 'No Sleep' seduces from the word go." (9/10)
Eastman's “No Sleep DJ Mix” is available for FREE download via Soundcloud http://bit.ly/EastmanNSMix.

CHRISTOPH ANDERSSON

19-year-old Bliss guest Christoph Andersson (the youngest DJ to spin at U Hall thus far), is widely known as a young prodigy and a budding pop electro sensation. A musician from the beginning, Andersson picked up a guitar before he could walk, and entered the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts at the beginning of high school. Upon entering the NOCCA, Andersson quickly released an impressive string of singles and remixes in his first year of production, in addition to picking up many DJ gigs in the area. His tight, catchy, funk-influenced basslines often times gives a nod to New Orleans legends (i.e. The Meters); TKVR member John Braun says, “He’s got this [innate] ability to suck up the songwriting lessons not only from contemporary electro acts like Chromeo and Ratatat, but also from far reaching songwriting heavyweights Philip Glass and Ryuichi Sakamoto – all with a healthy dose of French house.”

MR. BONKERZ

The hometown disco enthusiast has been keeping music bloggers busy over the past year with his monthly mixes by incorporating all elements of disco (classic, nu, italo, deep, funk) for your dance party pleasure. You can find him at his monthly parties, "Groovz" every 2nd Friday at SOVA and "Shenaniganz" on 4th Saturdays at 9:30 Club Backbar. Come early, bring your dancing shoes and join Mr. Bonkerz for some blissful disco beats :)
