Art Exhibits

 It's first Sunday, and that means Art Whino will be back at The Yards Park with Marcātus. The creative art market boasts live music, food and art. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m





The exhibit Liminal Light at Project 4 Gallery features artists who explore various means of representing reality and the vast gray area between the strict confines of black and white using graphite, India ink, smoke and photo collage. Opening reception Saturday from 6:30 to 9 p.m.










The weather must be getting warmer: the first Hirshhorn After Hours of the season is upon us, this Friday from 8 p.m. to midnight. Extreme Animals will entertain with its "disjunctive mélange of live music, extreme feedback, YouTube bombardment, staged theatrics, and global meltdowns," along with DJ Shea Van Horn. Head into the museum to see Blinky Palermo: Retrospective (which DCist covered in March) and other exhibits -- note that the exhibits close at 10 p.m. Tickets only available in advance, $18


 Dataklysmos, an exhibition of new multimedia sculptures and digital video works by [dNASAb], opens at Irvine Contemporary on Saturday. [dNASAb] (or "Disney") exploits and explodes technology to explore the "Disneyfication" of our post-digital imagination. At the opening reception, see the artist's take on the region's Internet architecture and major connecting nodes for global Internet data traffic. 6 to 8 p.m.
