I go to this every Year and it's such an awesome show of Chinese culture and tradition, and great photo opps as well. This parade takes up most of Chinatowns streets to beware if your driving. Take METRO.Each Year a giant parade is held in Chinatown to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The event features the traditional Dragon dance, Kung Fu demostrations and live musical acts.
Celebrate from 12-5pm at the Chinatown Lunar New Year festival, Chinatown community cultral center, 616 h St. NW. Programs and activites will include Live music and dance performances, traditonal Chinese callgraphy, childerns crafts, face painting, Tai chi and Kung fu demostrations, lion dancing, poetry reading, film screenings, art and photo exhibits, raffle prizes, New Years Souvienrs, free givaways and much more. Special guest performances by: Wong People and students of Yu Ying Public Charter School.
