Events Happening

This Friday 
Peruse the National Cathedral's (Wisconsin and Massachusetts Avenues NW) 71st Flower Mart, offering 90 vendors (food, gifts, horticulture) along with live dance and musical performances (including Elisabeth von Trapp -- yep, of those von Trapps), from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. this Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Free.




Our 72st year – Rain Or Shine – A Benefit For the Cathedral's Gardens & Grounds
No Admission Fee

Flower Mart reaches a wide cross section of the Washington region. On a nice spring day, Flower Mart daily attendance is about 10,000 people. Television, newsprint, radio stations and national publications give Flower Mart excellent coverage and local TV celebrities and weathermen broadcast from the Mart.  The NW Current publishes our Program as a special Flower Mart edition, available after April 20, for DC home delivery and at selected locations in Maryland and at the Herb Cottage, South Road of the Cathedral.

Our honored country this year will be the beautiful country of the Republic of Austria and we are very excited to showcase their culture and fabulous natural resources.  This year's Honorary Chairman will be His Excellency, Dr. Christian Prosl, Austrian Ambassador to the United States.

During the Mart, there is no parking on the streets of the Cathedral, however there is underground parking in the Cathedral garage.  Any #30 Metro bus takes you to the Cathedral.
