About Trust me
"BETWEEN YOU AND ME IS A PLACE WHERE THERE IS NO SPECULATION, ALL LAWS AND LAWLESSNESS OF THE FREE MARKET NO LONGER OPERATE FOR A FRACTION OF A SECOND, FOR A NIGHT PERHAPS, YES PERHAPS EVEN A WHOLE NIGHT AND THIS NIGHT BELONGS TO US AND WE KNOW NOTHING ELSE, NOTHING AT ALL"
Economic crisis. Fluctuating global markets. Occupy. Facebook. This premiere dance/theatre performance with text by German playwright Falk Richter explores the effects of unstable Western idealism on the body and psyche. How can we navigate this complex system and truly find who we are? Trust me will pair dancers with actors, creating a rigorous performance score as challenging as the ideas themselves. Trust me is currently being developed in rehearsal and will be given a work-in-progress showing in June in Washington. Stay tuned for more details.
