Fleming has made the very ambitious trek for the past 2 years with “Roadside America.” Spending 35-50 hours each way on the road giving the Soul a lot of time to create and be inspired by what goes by him.
Armed with his Camera, his very used 1998 Ford Explorer and a large assortment of music on his iPod, Fleming made frequent unscheduled stops along the various routes and has assembled an archive of thousands of photographs documenting everything from geographic landscapes to “America’s ruin’s” from yesteryear to architectural wonders and monuments both nature and man made.

Photographer Jack Fleming has been playing with cameras since the age of five. Born and raised in the small New England influenced college town of Granville, Ohio Fleming spent his high school and college years inspired by an interest in technical theater lighting and scenery design. After a move to California in 1995 and seven years residing in Venice Beach, Fleming moved into a 2600 square foot commercial warehouse space opening his first studio. Jack Fleming Photography was born in 2001 and he immediately immersed himself in Hollywood’s event and club scene making notable connections with owners, agents, actors, and musicians. Soon, Fleming found himself working personally for singing sensation Christina Aguilera, Rapper and Actor Ice T, print and internet mediums such as The Hollywood Reporter and British Vogue at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, PGA Golf Tournaments, NASCAR and Indy Car races as well as fulfilling the common every day need of actors head-shots and fashion portfolios.

Fleming’s images have been published in the likes of British Vogue, Flaunt, Item, The California Apparel News, The Hollywood Reporter, Us Weekly, LookBookLA and Vegas and other notable magazines. Fleming most recently completed all of the commercial images for the first of its kind, “The Rolling Stone Restaurant and Lounge next to the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. In January of this year, Fleming was also a starring member of the pilot reality TV episode competition of “Shutter Wars” created by Washington D.C. area Photographer and Producer, Armin DeFiesta.
