Over the summer this new events space opened in the old NEWSUME where I used to work. Great space, I always thought it would be an out of sight club. But this Friday will be hosting an awesome Opera of sorts. information below.

Urban Arias is a new opera company dedicated to producing short, contemporary operas. Their mission is to expose DC-area audiences to engaging, accessible, entertaining operas, and to provide a friendly venue at which both established and emerging composers can present their shorter works.
