Grizzly Bear is a Brooklyn-based folk rock band, co
mprising Edward Droste (vocals, guitar, omnichord, keyboard), Daniel Rossen (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Taylor (bass, backing vocals, various instruments, producer) and Christopher Bear (drums, backing vocals). The band employs traditional and electro
nic instruments. Their sound has been categorized as pyschedelic pop, folk rock and experimental and is dominated by the use of vocal harmonies. The band is one of the few non-electronic artists signed toWarp Records.
Daniel Rossen is also a member of the duo Department of Eagles.
Frédérick "Fred" Falke (born 7 January 1973) is a French based house producer and DJ of German origin.
Falke started out as a bass player around 1995 before turning his hand to production work in the late 1990s. His first record, a collaboration withAlan Braxe named Intro, which sampled The Jets 1987 hit Crush On You, was released in 2000 on Vulture Music.
The pair would form a very productive partnership releasing a handful of singles and becoming in-demand remixers for the likes of Goldfrapp, Royksopp, Kelis and Justice. The partnership would last until 2008 when they went their separate ways.
Falke has also collaborated with France-based German producer, DJ and close friend Kris Menace, as well as releasing records on Menace's label Work It Baby. In addition, he has collaborated on various other productions with artists such as Savage, Miami Horror and Knightlife.
Fred Falke is now an in-demand remixer in his own right and has produced remixes for a number of mainstream rock and electronic artists. Falke has reworked songs from artists as diverse as Little Boots, Gossip, U2, Annie, Grizzly Bear, Ladyhawke, Lykke Li, La Roux among many others.
Recently Falke has started working with Xenomania contributing to songs by Pet Shop Boys and Mini Viva. Falke is also currently producing the 'Vandroid' album project with Nic Nicola.
